Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: it explains why this phenomenon occurs (social media validation) and provides a clear opinion that it is a negative trend. The ideas are relevant and logically developed. However, the development of the arguments is somewhat brief, and the essay could benefit from more detailed examples or deeper analysis to reach a higher band. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'consequently', 'for example', and 'furthermore' are used to link sentences and ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with punctuation and sentence structure that occasionally affect the flow. Overall, the structure is coherent and easy to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with some attempts at more sophisticated language like 'omnipresence', 'catalyst', and 'detrimental'. However, there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'primerly', 'plateform', 'chennel', 'contant', 'trevelling', 'pepole', 'immence', 'thier', 'intlectually', 'fregile', 'bulidings', 'reun'). These errors are noticeable and detract from the overall quality of the writing, although they do not prevent the reader from understanding the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'tourists flock', 'Pepole has', 'this trend give rise') and article usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several misplaced commas and spacing issues. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the response, and the errors do not cause significant difficulty for the reader.
