Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is undeniably true that historical places are the part of economy. Owing to this, a large number of people assume that in this modern era, visitors are visiting famous places just for clicking the photographs instead of looking or knowing them.According to my perspective I think it is negative trend but it also some positive outcomes which I will articulate in subsequent segments.

Commencing with the most prominent cause why is this happening? To be more clear, as in these days, social media influencing the people. In order to attract the following or followers folks visits some famous places to take photographs rather than know the history of the place. This all is happening for flaunting the society. The another cause is picture is the evidence to visit the place from which humans get likes, comments and view it make more enjoyable experience only in photos. However, personally that is less enjoyment experience. As a result, these all the incident is happening for public display show off rather than learn about the place history.

Turning towards the positive side of this trend, the first point is that visitors visit on famous places with their loved once in oder to create the best memory, due to this reason they click more and more photos that are define in the documentaries photos which also show the love of each other in one frame. Therefore, taking photographs is also part of visiting experience which helps to keep long term memory.

To put in nutshell, although clicking the photographs helps to create a memory. However, if tourist will only focused on taking photos it may disrespect the history and culture and also they missed opportunities of learning reflection of the history and reasons of the famous place why it become well known.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention social media and the desire for social validation, the explanation remains repetitive. The positive aspect is briefly touched upon, but the argument lacks depth and specific examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the 'why' behind these behaviors with more nuanced analysis rather than repeating the idea of 'taking photos' multiple times. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments need more elaboration to fully satisfy the requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Commencing with', 'Turning towards', and 'To put in nutshell', although some of these are used slightly mechanically or incorrectly (e.g., 'To put in nutshell' should be 'In a nutshell'). Referencing is generally clear, but there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'This all is happening for flaunting the society.' Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will help the essay flow more smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'famous places' and 'clicking the photographs' repeatedly. There are also some collocation errors, such as 'flaunting the society' (which should be 'flaunting on social media' or 'showing off') and 'less enjoyment experience'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or varied vocabulary limits the score. Try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations related to tourism, digital culture, and personal experience to demonstrate a wider range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Examples include 'it also some positive outcomes' (missing a verb), 'social media influencing the people' (fragment), and 'visitors visit on famous places' (incorrect preposition). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the errors do not completely prevent understanding, they are frequent enough to suggest a lack of control over more complex structures. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for missing verbs will significantly improve your accuracy.
