Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays people are following a recent trend to visit well -knows places just to get some good looking photographs and videos. Reason behind is social media hype and people are following each other. even without physically looking at the place they got attracted by others pictures. It can be a positive growth in perspective of that place as well as negative impact on youth. I am going to describe my point of view in the following paragraphs.
First of all if I give a description about, why this trend is followed by many people?. The main reason behind it is social media hype, youth usually get attracted by things showed up on social media by their friends and following. For example, Donna Cruse recent blog state that, she visit Burlington falls by watching one of his followers pictures, but she end up with not a very good experience there instead of she got much tired for just visit to watch a little falls, because by the pictures she was thinking it is going to be a great falls and would have fun over there.
In some cases it is a negative trend, cos people are wasting their time and money if the results are not fruitful. on the other hand it has a positive trend for people who are making blogs on social media, who can actually visit the place and let the general public know about the reality behind the on going trend, by showing them in their pictures and videos and earn money through their views.
At the end, following other people without even search about the place can be fully waste of time as well money. Getting more information about a particular place before a visit can be saved from loss.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation regarding social media hype is clear, but the example provided about 'Donna Cruse' is slightly confusing and lacks sufficient detail to fully support the argument. The discussion on the positive/negative aspects is present but remains superficial. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your reasoning with more depth and ensure that your examples are clearly linked to the main points. The position is clear, but the overall argument could be more robustly supported.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally repetitive. For instance, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is a bit abrupt. While there is a logical progression, the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast'). Referencing is generally clear, but some sentences feel disconnected, which affects the overall coherence of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on common phrases like 'good looking' and 'social media hype'. There are also some awkward collocations and minor errors, such as 'well-knows places' (should be 'well-known') and 'search about the place' (should be 'research the place'). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of more sophisticated or varied vocabulary limits the score. Focusing on using more precise academic collocations would significantly enhance your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'Reason behind is social media hype' (missing article), 'she visit Burlington falls' (incorrect verb tense), and 'can be saved from loss' (awkward passive construction). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur with enough frequency to prevent a higher score. You should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles to improve accuracy.
