More and more people nowadays visit well-known places to take photographs of themselves, without looking at the place.
Why do you think this is happening?
Is it a positive or a negative trend?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, there are plethora of people using social media applications and they believe in show-off. Although, a group of people visit popular places to explore, some of them are capturing pictures of themselves instead of looking at the place. This trend will definitely impact negatively on people's daily life, I will discuss several reasons in the following paragraphs.
To commence with, nowadays more and more folks exploring very popular visits to snap photographs of themselves for posting on social media such as Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat. For example, people need to get an attention from others in their online social status however they are not fells satisfied in their life. Consequently, people prefer to take pictures of themselves without enjoying the place and vibe.
An other compelling reason is, in this socialize world people think if they post new photos of themselves rather than take a pictures of the place, they will become more famous in their online platforms where they are going to post. For instance, University of Toronto publish one article related people who are stuck in their life as they believe to take photographs of themselves, are not getting successful in their life. Therefore, folks are going visit nowadays well-known places to take picture of their and not looking at the place.
In conclusion, people are not interested to explore new place for the vibe nevertheless they are more into socialize themselves to show-off on online platforms. Due to these reasons, I firmly believe that this new trend will definitely build a negative impact on society.
