Visiting new places have become popular trend nowadays where large proportion of masses capturing pictures of themselves, without noticing around. This essay will highlight some factors that why this trend is going on around and how it is a pessimistic development.

One of the most prominent reasons of this behavior is show-off among other people. In other words, most of the individuals are indulged in following online trends on social media as they want to prove to other people that they visited the place. Thus, it results in less significance of the tourist place towards them. Apart from this, travelling to popular places are costly and people love to take pictures in order to keep them as memories as they spent large amount of money. They often glance at photographs in future and memorize the past experience.

Paradoxically, it can become devastating experience as if a person does not enjoy the present moment. To sketch out further, some popular places are known for their calmness and getting busy on taking pictures might disturb others as well. Besides this, clicking photographs of themselves at every moment is a time consuming activity as tourist may loose the opportunity to explore other places and eventually left without having knowledge of popular places.

To recapitulate, after taking everything into consideration, it can be said that capturing pictures become normal trend among people because of online fame and keeping them as memories but this development brings negative impact to the society by not enjoying the moment and wasting time

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The ideas are relevant, such as the desire for social media validation and the preservation of memories. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why it is a 'pessimistic development' could be more deeply explored with more specific examples or a more nuanced argument. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of analysis remains at a fairly basic level, which prevents it from reaching the higher bands.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In other words', 'Apart from this', and 'To recapitulate', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical. The referencing is generally clear, although the flow between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall readability. The paragraphing is appropriate for the task, helping to structure the argument effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'paradoxically' and 'devastating', but there are also instances of awkward phrasing or word choice, such as 'large proportion of masses' and 'getting busy on taking pictures'. The range is sufficient to discuss the topic, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band score. Spelling is generally accurate throughout the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Visiting new places have become', 'tourist may loose') and article usage errors ('a popular trend', 'the tourist place'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. The control of punctuation is generally acceptable, but the sentence construction often feels slightly repetitive or clunky.
