Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, number of people or visiting to famous places such as traditional places and many and taking there pictures and they not even caring how that is made. i believe that this is negative trend because many citizen lost there actual interest in tourist places.
There are several reason why this is happening. the first major factor is that citizen are more interested in taking selfie and recording vlogs to upload in Facebook and Instagram also in Youtube. For example when they going to well-know places they sending it in internet and getting likes they thinking this is best where i can show how I am traveling. As a result, taking picture and uploading is social media becoming important in their lives.
i believe that this is negative trend because people or not improving their knowledge about their past traditional For intense when they visiting a best library in the world they are taking photographs rather then reading books in order to post their memories and this is disturbing to people who actually going to see the actual past cultures. Moreover, this trend is rising more and meaning their children to do same. Therefore, when some going to crowded places they or more interested in mobile phone also making places unevenly disturbance.
In conclusion, i believe that this trend is totally negative because pupils not getting more ideas about those place why past people built and people are highly interested in medias but people get memories trough picture but not knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention social media as a driver, the explanation remains quite repetitive. To improve, you should expand on the 'why'—for example, discussing the psychological need for social validation or the 'fear of missing out' (FOMO). The arguments regarding the negative impact on cultural appreciation are relevant but could be supported with more specific, nuanced examples beyond just 'taking photos instead of reading books'. Overall, the response meets the requirements but lacks the depth needed for a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, 'For intense' is used incorrectly instead of 'For instance', and 'Therefore' is used in a way that does not logically connect the preceding thought to the conclusion. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'they' and 'their' without a clear antecedent. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that flows logically into the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely heavily on basic terms like 'people', 'places', and 'things'. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'traditional places' (which is vague) and 'making places unevenly disturbance'. The use of 'medias' is also incorrect; 'media' is an uncountable noun. To reach a higher band, you need to incorporate more precise, topic-specific vocabulary related to tourism, digital culture, and social behavior. Expanding your range to include more sophisticated synonyms and collocations will significantly improve the clarity and impact of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'number of people or visiting', 'people or not improving'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, making them difficult to parse. While there is an attempt at complex structures, these are often faulty, leading to confusion. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction—ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb—before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency will also help raise your score.
