Student answer (Band 5.5)
In modern world , many of individuals want to go some famous places and like to click pictures yourself but they don’t explore that place.According to my prospective its a negative trend because its happening of social media.
The reason of this trend is social media .To explicate it , most of people want to become influencer in these days . They like to post photographs everyday by visiting different places which can be attractive for followers . They can get more followers day by day . For example, A survey conducted by agency of united states of America reveals that 70 percent of masses using social media to become famous around the world. Hence , social media apps are main reason for this.
Moving towards the rest of description, i think it is negative trend because they will be unaware about history and culture of their country. To explain it, individuals usually visit historical places but only for clicking pictures not to learn for their history of country. Sometimes , many functions arranged for showing cultures like Bhangra . People just visit to make videos to post but they don’t have any interest to watch.
For instance, A headline of the tribune newspaper shows that a seminar was arranged by government for free but can enter only without phone only 10 percent people of that town go there. Thus, its a very negative effect on the coming generations.
It is concluded that instagram and facebook are main reasons for this trend and it is very bad impression on the individuals

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. The ideas are relevant, such as the influence of social media and the loss of cultural appreciation. However, the development is somewhat limited. The examples provided, such as the 'agency of united states of America' and the 'tribune newspaper', are vague and lack specific detail, which prevents the argument from being fully extended. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of analysis remains at a basic level, which is characteristic of a band 5.5 or 6.0 response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'To explain it', 'To explicate it', 'Hence', 'Thus'). There are also issues with referencing and flow; for instance, the transition 'Moving towards the rest of description' is unnatural. While the overall progression of ideas is logical, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional awkward phrasing between sentences limit the score to a 5.5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate to convey the message but is quite limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'click pictures', 'famous places', and 'very bad impression' are basic. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as '70 percent of masses' and 'learn for their history'. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'influencer' and 'historical places', but the range is not sufficient to demonstrate flexibility or precision. To improve, the student should focus on using more varied synonyms and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Common issues include missing articles ('in modern world', 'by agency of'), incorrect preposition usage, and subject-verb agreement errors ('most of people want', 'its happening of social media'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces missing before commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band.
