Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is an irrefutable fact that tourism is an increasing day by day. A section of society opine that most of people visit at famous places so that they can take photographs even they do not know the place. This essay intends to highlight reasons along with negative trends in the subsequent paragraphs.
To begin with, there are multifarious consequences of abovementioned notion. First of all, social media is main reason of this trend. Everyone using social media frequently when people watch anyone to go any place so they show their desire to go that same place so that they can take same experience as well as take photos to upload on their social media accounts to get compliments and likes. As a result, they get more money from viewers. Moreover, the another main reason is feeling happy and collecting memories without realising what the background of their pictures is. Later, they can watch the photos and remember the things happened on that time.
On the other side, I think it is a negative trends because people should focus on the place where they are visiting rather then clicking photos. Due to this, people can explore more such as they can get knowledge regarding the culture and tradition of that place, language and history.
To conclude, social media and collecting memories are main reasons of taking pictures rather then enjoying the place where they visiting.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the trend and expressing a clear negative stance. However, the development of ideas is limited, and the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement. The explanation regarding social media is somewhat repetitive, and the argument about 'getting more money' is not clearly linked to the general public's behavior. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your points with more detailed examples and ensure the essay meets the length requirement to allow for full development of your arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by simplistic transitions. While you use basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'Moreover', the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'abovementioned notion', which feels forced. The conclusion is very brief and does not effectively summarize the main points. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'main reason' and 'collecting memories'. There are some awkward collocations, such as 'tourism is an increasing day by day' (should be 'increasing day by day' or 'growing'). While you attempt some less common vocabulary like 'multifarious', it is not used in a natural context. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated synonyms and ensuring collocations are accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'most of people visit at famous places' (should be 'most people visit famous places') and 'remember the things happened on that time' (should be 'remember the things that happened at that time'). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic tense and article usage.
