Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays people explore well - know places to just take pictures and videos of themselves without even investigating the location. There are several reasons why this is happening and there are pros and cons of this trend happening lately.
The first reason I believe is because currently people comes in influence of social media like Instagram, Facebook and Tweeter. On the other hand, many indiviuals think instant making plans works for them if they have to plan a trip so they don't actually search the place they just visit the place because they find this exciting.
However, the positive side of this happening lately is that people can explores new places and know more about its beauty and history and make new friends. While on the other hand the major drawback of visiting any place without knowing it is unexpected financial problem would arise, not just that but also a person can get into trouble and that can be dangerous situation as well.
To conclude, there are positive and negative points of visiting any place without looking at the place and in my opinion it is negative trend as it can led to some issues which can be major and dangerous.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address both parts of the prompt—the reasons for the trend and your opinion on whether it is positive or negative—the arguments are underdeveloped. For instance, the reasons provided regarding social media and impulsive travel are mentioned but not sufficiently explained or supported with concrete examples. The conclusion is brief and lacks depth. To improve, you must expand your points with detailed explanations and relevant personal examples to ensure the response is fully developed and meets the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat mechanical. You use basic cohesive devices like 'The first reason', 'On the other hand', and 'However', but these are used repetitively. The transition between the reasons and the discussion of the trend's nature is abrupt. To achieve a higher band, you should aim for a more sophisticated use of linking words and ensure that each paragraph flows logically into the next, rather than relying on simple, formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You use some basic errors in word choice, such as 'comes in influence' instead of 'is influenced by' and 'well-know' instead of 'well-known'. The vocabulary is somewhat repetitive, and there is little attempt to use less common or more precise lexical items. To improve, focus on learning collocations and more academic vocabulary related to travel, social media, and societal trends, and ensure you check for basic spelling and word-form accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You have several grammatical errors, such as 'people comes' (subject-verb agreement), 'it can led' (incorrect verb form), and 'unexpected financial problem would arise' (awkward phrasing). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to distract the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, verb tenses, and sentence construction, and proofread your work to catch these common slips.
