Student answer (Band 6.0)
Number of people around the world are touring to the most famous places to click photos for themselves without even realizing the places worth to visit. The reason for travelling is to showcase on the social media platform. It has a Negative trend for people to explore the unknown world. Both the drawbacks of visiting places and reasons and explaining in the ensuing paragraph.
One of most common reason behind this phenomena is to trend over the social media platform. Many agencies across the countries hire social media influencer to provide great tour itineraries at wonders around the world. As a result, they upload pictures all over the internet and encourage everyone to visit places. Additionally, Nowadays people are travelling not just to learn the culture or historic stories behind the places rather click pictures and upload posts in Instagram. Therefore, places such as poor transportation, lack of sufficient food available causes trouble to the individuals whose attracted in trap of beautiful pictures over the internet.
This trend would definitely lead towards a negative direction. People would travel Paris without knowing the basic french language could cost an arm and leg. Most of the native people speaks their own languages and communication would be extremely difficult. Secondly, it would be struggle to find the food specifically for the vegetarian people. Most of the popular places offers only Non-vegetarian and sea food. Therefore, people will lead to debt and struggle to survive at well known places which famous for clicking pictures.
In conclusion, It is undeniable truth that people follows trend by travelling famous places to upgrade their social media status without even understanding cost of the place. In my opinion, this trend sets a deep negative impact on their lives for both financially and struggle to communication.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While the influence of social media is clearly identified as a reason, the arguments regarding the negative impacts—such as the difficulty of finding vegetarian food or language barriers in Paris—are somewhat tangential and not fully linked to the core issue of 'taking photos without looking at the place.' The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and logical connection to the specific phenomenon described in the prompt. To improve, ensure that every point made directly explains why the obsession with photography leads to the specific negative consequences mentioned.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Both the drawbacks of visiting places and reasons and explaining in the ensuing paragraph' is grammatically awkward and confusing. Furthermore, the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'they' in the second paragraph, which does not clearly refer back to a specific noun. While the progression of ideas is generally followable, the lack of sophisticated linking words and occasional awkward phrasing limits the flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'click photos for themselves' instead of 'take photos of themselves,' and 'whose attracted in trap' instead of 'who are attracted into the trap.' The phrase 'cost an arm and leg' is used, but it is not entirely appropriate for the context of language barriers. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that collocations are natural and accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Most of the native people speaks'), article usage ('the Instagram'), and sentence fragments or run-on sentences. For instance, 'Therefore, places such as poor transportation, lack of sufficient food available causes trouble' is grammatically disjointed. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and punctuation prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article consistency would be highly beneficial.
