Student answer (Band 6.0)
Due to advent in technology more and more people focus on taking photographs while visiting famous places even without actually looking at place. In this era, people are mainly focused on getting views on social media. In my opinion, it has both positive and negative sides.
To begin with, the biggest advantage of taking photos has become a well known source of income nowadays. Specially youngsters just prefers to go anywhere and start recording the views to post on social media applications which help them to be known in the world and various applications offers them money according to the reach of their account. It can also be considered as an entertainment for the people in the world. For instance, according to recent survey by the Times of India 30 percent of youth is using public platforms as their primary source of income.
On the flip side, individuals got trapped by the artificial beauty of the places. As the visit to different places should be considered as a valuable time that you can explore the locations and can enjoy it, but individuals are trapped in fake attention and they miss the actual beauty of the place. Some places also provide great knowledge but current trend is diverting the mind of human beings. As an example, according to the recent news at global network which was a podcast of famous celebrity and he mentioned they do so many international trips every year but their kids are still unhappy about it because they never actually explored the views and scenes.
This essay contains the both views, if photographs are providing benefits especially to youth, however it is impacting negatively as well. Therefore any trend should be followed in balance so that it can give the personal satisfaction as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding income generation is a relevant point, but the supporting example of a 'recent survey' is vague and lacks depth. Similarly, the negative aspect regarding the 'artificial beauty' is introduced but could be more thoroughly explored with more specific analysis of the psychological impact. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main idea is supported by more detailed explanation rather than just a brief example.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'On the flip side', and 'Therefore', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally slightly awkward, such as in the final paragraph where 'This essay contains the both views' is used to summarize. Improving the variety and natural flow of linking words would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'advent in technology' and 'artificial beauty'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'Specially youngsters just prefers' (should be 'Especially' and 'prefer') and 'trapped in fake attention'. The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but more precise and varied vocabulary would be needed to move into the higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that persist throughout the text. Examples include 'without actually looking at place' (missing article), 'various applications offers' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'This essay contains the both views' (incorrect article usage). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
