Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, ending abruptly at 216 words. While the essay addresses both parts of the prompt (reasons and opinion), the development is significantly hampered by the lack of length. The arguments regarding AI and time management are introduced but remain under-developed. The conclusion is incomplete, which prevents a clear summary of the position. To improve, you must expand on your points with more detailed explanations and ensure the essay is fully completed to meet the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at logical organization, using basic transition signals like 'The primary one is' and 'For instance'. However, the progression is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is present but the final paragraph is cut off mid-sentence, which disrupts the overall flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'owing to that' which is grammatically awkward and hinders cohesion. To improve, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, finished structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'clicking', 'pictures', and 'things'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'owing to that they can not enjoy' and 'reinfocing'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to tourism, technology, and social behavior, and work on using words in their correct collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'Individuals are going to the several places', 'people has to enjoy it', and 'people went to the BANFF'. There is a lack of control over sentence structure, with several run-on sentences and punctuation errors. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple or poorly constructed complex sentences. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and ensuring that complex sentences are punctuated correctly.
