Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has been noticed that most people visit famous places just to click their pictures. They do not have any knowledge about the significance or history of the monument. This is because, they just want to upload it on social media to look superior among their peers. I certainly believe this is a negative trend for society especially for the young generation.
Major reason behind this trend is the popularity of social media. Most of the people follow renowned personalities on different platforms and get to know about the different locations from their posts, stories, and movies. So, they visit the same places which are in the movies or posts without knowing the values of the place. Sometimes, they don't even look and feel the enery of the place physically, they just want to click cools photos for their Instagram. Additionally, people do not want to visit places with real significance such as forts, castle or museum, rather they like to travel to picturesque places such as flashy modern building or cafes with good ambiance.
This perspective could negatively impact the society, because they have limited knowledge about their history and culture. If a young individual only visits picturesque places, he could never get an exposure to culture and lack essential skills like problem-solving and critical thinking. In my viewpoint, parents should choose locations wisely, so that it could help their kids to learn about different landscapes, religions, and moral values.
To sum up, rather than traveling to famous places for pictures and content, we should explore places like museums, art galleries, and historical forts. Likewise, will help parents to teach their children about their history, religion and values.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the link between visiting picturesque places and a lack of critical thinking skills is asserted but not fully explained or supported with concrete evidence. While the response covers all requirements, the depth of analysis is more characteristic of a Band 6.0, as some points remain slightly superficial or repetitive.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Additionally', 'In my viewpoint', and 'To sum up', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise (e.g., 'Likewise, will help parents...'). The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the connection between the paragraphs could be smoother to achieve a higher band. The structure is functional and supports the overall argument effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'significance', 'renowned', and 'ambiance'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'click cools photos' (should be 'take cool photos') and 'enery' (spelling error). The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'Most of the people follow' (should be 'Most people follow'), 'flashy modern building' (should be 'flashy modern buildings'), and 'he could never get an exposure to culture' (should be 'get exposure to culture'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the frequency of these minor errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The majority of sentences are understandable, but they are not consistently error-free.
