Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 170 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the prompt asks for reasons why this is happening and whether it is a positive or negative trend, the essay provides only superficial arguments. The ideas are under-developed, and the position is not clearly maintained or supported with sufficient depth. The reliance on invented statistics (e.g., '80% masser') does not constitute relevant supporting evidence. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with logical explanations and real-world examples, ensuring you meet the length requirement to allow for full task development.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the structure is weak and the progression of ideas is disjointed. Cohesive devices are used in a mechanical and often incorrect manner, such as the abrupt 'Also Conclusion' transition. Referencing is frequently unclear, and the logical flow between sentences is often broken, making the text difficult to follow. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') correctly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects logically to the overall argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally impede communication. For example, 'masser' is used incorrectly to mean 'masses' or 'people', and 'famom' is a misspelling of 'famous'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To improve, you should practice using more precise academic vocabulary and focus on correct collocations. Avoid using invented statistics and instead use descriptive language to explain your points.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often distort meaning. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'they goes', 'they definately took photos'), sentence structure, and tense usage. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with errors in basic punctuation and word order. To improve, you must focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb forms and subject-verb agreement. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb tenses is essential.
