Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this social media generation everyone wants to published their all movements on different platforms. For instance, if anyone visit to most famous place or restaurant first they want to share those beautiful images rather than enjoy those creatures. As per my thoughts this trend spread more negativity in society.

To start with, every culture has varies ancient places where people can visit and gain some historical knowledge however this was happening before. Since this generation introduced by social media, everyone wants to upload a picture first. For example, recently I visited a most beautiful place in British Columbia and there were lots of other people also attended that place to see incredible nature. However, many of those were just trying taking photos and upload in social media. Hence, they missed some important informations of that particular place.

Furthermore, sharing memories and photos are not a negative point but firstly visitor should enjoy that scenery and eye catching points than after they will share those moments with others. Particularly, everyone wants to share those relatable photos of that place to others therefore others will know that place well. Consequently, they spread positive and some negative reviews of that place and others who have not visit yet they might take decision firmly.

In conclusion, sharing the images and information in social media is spread more negativity for people and visitors also miss some important scene in any particular place.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the trend and expressing a clear negative stance. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of development. Ideas are present but remain somewhat superficial; for example, the explanation of why people prioritize photos over experiences could be more thoroughly explored. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure you expand on your points with more detailed reasoning and ensure the essay meets the length requirement to allow for full development of all task components.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a basic logical progression. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'than after they will share' or 'others who have not visit yet they might take decision firmly.' These errors occasionally disrupt the flow of ideas. Paragraphing is present, but the transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases more naturally, and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus that connects smoothly to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'published their all movements' instead of 'post all their activities' and 'enjoy those creatures' when referring to places. Some collocations are unnatural, such as 'take decision firmly.' While the meaning is generally clear, the limited range of vocabulary prevents a higher score. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise terminology related to social media and tourism.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('everyone wants to published'), tense inconsistencies ('if anyone visit'), and article usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb forms and subject-verb agreement, and proofread your work to catch minor slips in tense and word order.
