Student answer (Band 6.0)
At Present, a considerable number of individuals travel to popular places to take pictures of themselves rather than looking at that destination. I believe that it is happening due to social media and I consider it as a negative trend.
Social platforms influence people to explore various places. This happen because people are active on social media and watch others story and post of exploring new places which influence them to visit at that place without searching proper information about that specific area and upload pictures on the media just to show others. As a result, they not only waste their time to show others but also they do not acquire any knowledge about that place because their main interest is in photographs.
Visiting places for pictures and without viewing that place decrease the practical knowledge of that specific area. Their are many places which have a lot of historical and practical knowledge to gain and boost our information which cannot be acquired through books or from internet. Exploring the place in-person not only helps to see the place itself but also vast our knowledge about the surroundings, customs and popular things of that region. Being stuck to mobile phones can miss the chance to gain all these and that would be consider as the wastage of time if we do not have sufficient information about the place where we visited. For example- If an individual visit Jaipur and just clicked pictures and made reels for social media, will miss all the information which he or she can get from the monuments if he or she look at the historical buildings and read on the walls of that buildings.
To Conclude, Going at places to click photos but having no look at the place can keep us away from the valuable information due to the impact of online platforms.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the argument about 'wasting time' and 'not gaining knowledge' is restated in both the second and third paragraphs without significant expansion. To reach a higher band, you should aim to explore the psychological motivations behind this behavior (e.g., the need for social validation or 'fear of missing out') more deeply, rather than focusing solely on the lack of historical knowledge gained.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central focus. There is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices (e.g., 'As a result', 'To Conclude', 'For example'). However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'This happen because' where the subject reference is imprecise. The transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother to better connect the cause of the trend with the specific negative consequences. Overall, the progression of ideas is coherent, but the use of cohesive devices lacks the flexibility required for a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their opinion clearly. There are some attempts at using less common vocabulary, such as 'individuals' and 'monuments', but the range remains somewhat limited. Some word choices are imprecise or awkward, such as 'vast our knowledge' (should be 'expand' or 'broaden') and 'have no look at the place' (should be 'ignore the surroundings'). There are also minor errors in collocation, such as 'visit at that place' instead of 'visit that place'. To improve, focus on using more precise verbs and collocations related to travel and social media.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('This happen', 'Their are many places'), incorrect verb forms ('If an individual visit', 'would be consider'), and punctuation errors (the hyphen in 'For example-'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to limit the score. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive voice constructions.
