Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The ideas are relevant, focusing on social media validation and the loss of cultural appreciation. However, the development is somewhat limited. The explanation of why this is a negative trend is a bit repetitive, and the arguments could be more deeply explored with more specific examples beyond the Taj Mahal. The position is clear throughout, but the essay would benefit from more sophisticated analysis to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'On the other side, It may brings' and 'Therefore actual involvement'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. While the overall structure is coherent, the management of cohesive devices lacks the flexibility required for a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several spelling errors, such as 'appresals', 'familys', 'shew', 'veiws', 'atmophare', and 'termediouly'. Additionally, some word choices are unnatural, such as 'social bird' and 'fascinated contents'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'vloggers', 'influencers', and 'eminent', the frequent spelling and collocation errors occasionally impede the flow of reading.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the accuracy of the writing. Examples include 'although individual visits to popular place but only for taking pictures', 'people unable to experience', and 'It may brings'. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band.
