Student answer (Band 6.0)
The phenomenon of visiting popular tourists site in order to capture a piece of photos instead of exploring the original value and historic importance is becoming favorable among section of folks. There is no denying the facrpt that this practice has various detrimental effects; however the reasons should be considered first.
The prominent aspect is maintaining the social image which is a fascinating trend among the youngsters as well as adults. They are keen towards building an effective social media profile with a motive to attract the the audience as well as flexing in front of their friends. For instance, people are desperate of uploading reels, status, tweets and positing their videos and photographs on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter and other media platforms.
Other than that, visitors are not having sufficient interest to explore the real value of a particular place. They just visit only for their mental satisfaction of being present on a famous location. For example, people finds it a daunting tast to gain the knowledge about the history of CN Tower, they just want to click an attractive picture to impress others.
Undoubtedly, it has been affecting the society adversely. Chief drawback is lacking the sense of belongingness. Moreover, incompetence of inhaling the knowledge about the tourist site for which plethora of efforts invested as well as valyable earnings has been spent. Instead of prioritizing the value of a specific spot; the habit of taking pictures only will make them a slave of technology. They will remain spare for enjoying the glory of history and nature.
In conclusion, I vehemently opine that acquiring significant information is more necessary than capturing the place. It will not only capping the ability to expand the mentality but also mitigate the impact of diversity and historical aspects.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear throughout, particularly in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation regarding the 'sense of belongingness' is vague and could have been expanded with more concrete reasoning. While the examples provided (e.g., CN Tower, social media platforms) are relevant, the analysis of the negative impact remains a bit superficial. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more depth in your arguments, explaining the 'why' and 'how' more thoroughly rather than just stating the effects.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. There is a progression of ideas from the reasons for the behavior to the consequences. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The prominent aspect', 'Other than that', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'Chief drawback is lacking the sense of belongingness', which lacks a proper subject. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'phenomenon', 'detrimental', 'vehemently', and 'mitigate'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'capture a piece of photos', 'flexing in front of their friends', and 'incompetence of inhaling the knowledge'. These errors occasionally make the writing sound unnatural. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, you need to focus on more precise collocations and idiomatic usage to move into a higher band. Proofreading for word forms (e.g., 'positing' instead of 'posting') is also recommended.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'people finds it a daunting tast' (subject-verb agreement and spelling), 'valyable earnings has been spent' (spelling and agreement), and 'It will not only capping the ability'. These errors are noticeable and sometimes distract from the message, although they do not completely impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, consistent verb tense usage, and ensuring that complex structures are grammatically sound. More attention to basic proofreading would significantly reduce these errors.
