Student answer (Band 6.5)
In Recent times, many people explore the popular places to capture images of themselves without admiring the beauty of place. There are several reasons for this trend, and I strongly believe that it has a detrimental impacts. The reasons and my opinion will be justified in the following paragraphs.
Discussing the reasons the foremost one I shall put forward is that people are more influence by social media these days. For instance, many younger people visit Virindavan to take photos and shoot videos on temple premisies, which they then upload to social media in an attempt to keep up with current trends. Moreover, individuals are more keen on technology and tend to capture every movement spent with their families at different place, which they then share with their relative and friends. to gain recognition and appreciation.
This trend has detrimental effects on peoples. Firstly, Laymans are not able to enjoy the natural beauty of popular places . By this I mean that many places have its beautiful architecture and detail carvings. However, taking photos continuously can distract people from appreciating the beauty of a particular place. Additionally , taking too many photos can be time consuming. People often spend a considerable amount of time getting good pictures, and as a result, they may not be able to fully explore the place.
In conclusion, it can be said that excessive use of social media encourages people to taking images of themselves while exploring different places in order to gain recognition. However I believe that this development is negative. People may fail to enjoy their visits and may miss valuable educational and learning experience that these place can offer.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While the mention of social media and the desire for recognition are relevant, the explanation could be more deeply explored with more nuanced examples. The points regarding the negative impact on the appreciation of architecture and the time-consuming nature of photography are relevant, but they remain somewhat superficial. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on the implications of these points, perhaps discussing the psychological aspect of 'living for the moment' versus 'living for the image'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'For instance', 'Moreover', and 'Firstly' are used to guide the reader. However, there are some mechanical issues with punctuation and spacing, such as the space before the comma in 'Additionally ,'. Additionally, some transitions feel slightly repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of cohesive links to connect ideas more fluidly rather than relying on standard list-like connectors.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'detrimental impacts', 'architecture', and 'recognition'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'people are more influence' (should be 'influenced') and 'Laymans' (should be 'laypeople' or 'visitors'). The use of 'Virindavan' as a specific example is good, but the phrasing 'temple premisies' contains a spelling error. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring correct word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and pluralization, such as 'it has a detrimental impacts' (should be 'impact') and 'these place' (should be 'places'). There are also minor errors with articles and prepositions, such as 'at different place' (should be 'places'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
