Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent time, we see a lot of people visiting popular places around the world and posting them on social media without exploring it actually. In this this essay I would be discussing why it happening and how it is influencing.
First of all, easy access to social media is influencing many younger people to visit places around the world. The most infuencial thing is celebrities and friends, when they post online regarding some well-known places, it easily creates a sense of inferiority among others. Which trigger them to visit same places and share media online to match their profile status. For example, a person posts selfies about visiting New York; when highlights the skyline and compares it to the scenes in Spider-Man movie, which easily influences others about visiting New York just to be a part of community by sharing similar pictures, for which they might spend a lot of money and disturb their financial planning.
Moreover, the trend is increasing due to more and more people getting involved in it, and because of this local economy of those places is getting boost. Many government bodies are using this trends to boost their tourism and economy. One of the best example for this is, Amitabh Bachchan being brand ambassador for Gujarat Tourism in India. We can observe how it engages people around the globe to places that are not popular, but with trend it does the job. Moreover, it also infuences the local traditions and culture to be spread with tourism.
Although, there are both advantages and disadvantages associated with being a part of recent trends. In my opinion, the overall trend is positively affecting, but only when they are guidance in advanced.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The explanation regarding social media influence is clear, but the second body paragraph shifts focus toward the economic benefits of tourism, which only tangentially addresses the core issue of people failing to 'look at the place' they are visiting. The conclusion is brief and lacks a clear, well-supported final stance, as the phrase 'guidance in advanced' is unclear. To improve, ensure that every point made directly links back to the specific behavior described in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Moreover', and 'Although' are used to link sentences and paragraphs. However, some transitions are mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is slightly unclear, such as the phrase 'without exploring it actually' in the introduction, where the pronoun 'it' lacks a clear antecedent. Additionally, the final sentence is grammatically fragmented, which disrupts the flow of the conclusion. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring clear referencing would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'inferiority' and 'financial planning'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'In recent time' (should be 'In recent times'), 'without exploring it actually' (should be 'without actually exploring the location'), and 'guidance in advanced' (should be 'guidance in advance'). Spelling errors like 'infuencial' and 'infuences' also occur. A wider range of precise vocabulary would help elevate the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'why it happening' (missing auxiliary verb), 'trigger them to visit same places' (missing article), and 'One of the best example for this is' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and semicolons. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they occur frequently enough to limit the score to a 6.0. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would be beneficial.
