Student answer (Band 5.5)
Well, clicking photographs has become trend in this modern society. People are crazy to capture new moments of themselves and they do not care about the place where they are going. I completely believe its a positive trend among people because they getting chance to explore new places for the seek of photography.
To begin with, having photos at different location could be memorable in future as well as some people can become professional while capturing memories with their near and dear once. As an example, some professional photographer reveals in their auto-biography they started their career when they were just doing photography for their satisfaction. Thus, sometime habits can become the way of earning.
Furthermore, due to this ongoing trend people have more opportunities to explore new places which are not possible if person have lack of interest in clicking images. For example, my younger brother love capturing natural beauty then he posted the photos on social media through the likes he earns money for his survival and visit new places.
In conclusion, the addiction of photos not only provide income source but also help people to get to know about various locations : therefore i think this trend has positive development on society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address both parts of the prompt—explaining why this is happening and providing an opinion—the arguments are underdeveloped. For instance, the claim that this is a 'positive trend' because it leads to professional photography careers is a logical leap that lacks sufficient explanation or nuance. The response is too brief to fully explore the implications of the trend, resulting in a superficial treatment of the topic. To improve, you must expand your points with more detailed examples and deeper analysis to meet the length requirement and demonstrate a more thorough engagement with the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat mechanical. While you use transition signals like 'To begin with' and 'Furthermore', the logical flow between sentences is occasionally disjointed. For example, the transition from the idea of 'memorable photos' to 'professional photography' is abrupt. Additionally, the use of referencing is sometimes unclear, and the paragraphing is functional but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision needed for a higher score. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'clicking photographs' and 'new places'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'for the seek of photography' (should be 'for the sake of') and 'near and dear once' (should be 'ones'). To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary and idiomatic expressions related to the topic of tourism, social media, and personal expression, while ensuring that your word choices are accurate and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('my younger brother love capturing'), article usage ('as trend'), and tense inconsistencies. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors prevent the writing from achieving a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with verb forms and pluralization. Additionally, try to vary your sentence structure by using more complex subordinating clauses to demonstrate greater control over English grammar.
