Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the structure is fragmented, with the introduction appearing at the end of the text, which makes the position difficult to follow. While ideas are presented, they are not fully developed or logically connected. For instance, the mention of 'Cambridge University study' is a good attempt at support, but the lack of clear paragraphing and the disjointed flow hinder the overall development of the argument. To improve, ensure a clear introduction, body paragraphs with distinct points, and a cohesive conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The organization is the weakest aspect of this essay. The text is presented in a non-linear fashion, with the introduction appearing after the body paragraphs. This lack of logical progression makes it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'Furthermore', 'However', 'To resume'), they are often used incorrectly or do not effectively link the ideas. Paragraphing is inconsistent and confusing, as the text seems to be composed of separate, disconnected blocks. A more structured approach with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion is essential for a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary range is adequate for the task but shows significant issues with accuracy and collocation. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'inferiarity', 'saciety', 'renawned', 'differatly') and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'counting more number of places', 'perfect postures'). While the student attempts to use more sophisticated vocabulary like 'burgeoning' and 'exotic', the misuse of words often impedes clarity. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic words and practicing collocations to ensure that words are used in their natural, idiomatic context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that often affect readability. There are frequent subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'this way of life encourage', 'everyone... begin comparing') and errors in sentence structure, such as sentence fragments (e.g., 'For illustrate, according to cambridge University recent study...'). While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, these are often marred by errors in punctuation and tense usage. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and proofread carefully to eliminate simple errors in agreement and word form.
