Student answer (Band 6.0)
with the advancement of technology,
undeniably a burgeoning number of people visiting
across the globe just to uploads pictures
on online platforms and this trend is
increasing in recent times. I consider this
a negative trend which is encouraging a
ignorance in persons who are not enjoying
nature.
To commence, There are numerous of effects of this
way of life. The first and foremost is the
not living the moment and creating memories of
those tourist sites. Since people are interested
in taking photos of themselves on varied natural
place, they are surely not relishing those precious
moments. As a result, they are not certainly
living a life whilst merely occupied with the
stress of posting visually perfect on social media,
they are counting more number of places they
visited for example, my cousin told me that she
is traveling different exotic places nationally or
internationally just to post pictures on their
Instagram for followers and likes.
Furthermore, this way of life encourage a comparison in people. Owing to the fact that everyone on social media begin comparing their life and happiness with other on the basis of pictures provided there. For illustrate, according to cambridge University recent study a growing number of persons are under depression due to inferiarity complex develope for using online platform. Therefore, judging someone's life happiness as content on social plateform through pictures damaging lives in today's limes.
However, Given that the fact that people visit different places to take photographs on renawned sites and monuments which can provide achance to experience various places. As people might not travel such places in life and learn about them. thus, it can enhance life experiences of people and broaden their horizon. Despite that this aspect generate revenue for the countries as escalating number of people travelling nowadays.
To resume, Though this trend has offers negative effects of saciety as well as individuals, this also enhance gowth of nations. I would suggest that it would be great if people should also spend time differatly in exploring the natual and famous places while clicking perfect postures on these exotic and places.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear from the introduction, stating it is a negative trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the negative impacts (lack of presence, social comparison) are discussed, the counter-argument regarding tourism revenue is a bit rushed and lacks depth. The conclusion attempts to balance the views but remains slightly contradictory. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more thorough explanation and a clear link back to the main argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence', 'Furthermore', and 'To resume', though some are used mechanically or incorrectly (e.g., 'To resume' is not standard for a conclusion). Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing or grammatical errors. The progression of ideas is present, but the transition between the negative impacts and the counter-argument could be smoother to improve the overall logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'encouraging a ignorance', 'counting more number of places', and 'social plateform'. Some spelling errors are also present, such as 'renawned', 'saciety', and 'inferiarity'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'exotic places' and 'broaden their horizon', the overall range is limited, and the errors occasionally draw attention to the language rather than the content.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this way of life encourage'), article usage (e.g., 'a ignorance'), and sentence fragments or run-on sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic errors would significantly improve the score.
