Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the trend and the writer's opinion on whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the explanation of why people visit places without looking at them is somewhat superficial, focusing on 'making memories' without fully exploring the psychological aspect of the trend mentioned in the prompt. The position is clear, but the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. To improve, you should provide more specific examples or deeper analysis of why this behavior occurs, rather than just stating that people want to enjoy themselves.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'The first and formost reason is...' and 'Apart from this...'. There are also issues with referencing; for example, the connection between the introduction and the body paragraphs is weak. The flow of ideas is sometimes interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'when people are going the the famous locations without knowing their family'. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the logical progression of your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'infilence' (influence), 'Acording' (According), 'trent' (trend), 'vaild' (valid), 'knflience' (influenced), 'instgram' (Instagram), and 'manh' (many). These errors are noticeable and occasionally impede the reader's understanding. While you attempt to use topic-related vocabulary like 'trending' and 'well known places', the range is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. You should focus on learning the correct spelling of common words and expanding your vocabulary to include more academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every person have their know reasons'), incorrect preposition usage, and missing articles. Punctuation is also problematic, with inconsistent spacing after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar structures prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for punctuation errors before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
