Student answer (Band 5.0)
In contemporary society, majority of individuals prefer to capture them selves rather than enjoying the beauty of the attractions. There are numerous reasons behind this trend and from my perspective it is destructive aspect. This essay will explain the factors behind arise of it and reasons behind my opinion.
The prominent aspect of why people visit famous places for photos instead of sight-viewing is that they already seen those sites via various sources like social media, magazine and advertisements and now visit place to create a special memory. For instance, Most of people who are visiting top of a sky-rocket building, clicks their snaps to capture their unforgettable moment of being there. Therefore, photography is trendy at tourist places to fulfil their internal satisfaction even more than viewing the center sites over there.
Despite this, the negative impact of this can not be neglected.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, which severely limits the development of ideas. While the introduction identifies the topic and states a position, the body paragraph is underdeveloped and the essay ends abruptly after only one sentence of the second body paragraph. The prompt asks for reasons and an opinion on whether the trend is positive or negative; however, the response fails to provide a full argument or sufficient examples to support the claims. Because the response is incomplete and fails to address the task requirements fully, it falls into the lower band range.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows an attempt at logical organization with an introduction and body paragraphs. However, the abrupt ending and the lack of a conclusion make the overall progression unclear. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'For instance' and 'Therefore', but the limited length prevents the development of a coherent flow. Paragraphing is present, but the second paragraph is incomplete, which disrupts the logical structure of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are some awkward phrasings, such as 'arise of it' and 'center sites'. The student uses some relevant terms like 'contemporary society' and 'unforgettable moment', but the overall range is limited by the brevity of the text. To improve, the student should focus on more precise collocations and a wider variety of academic vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'majority of individuals' (missing 'the'), 'capture them selves' (should be 'themselves'), and 'Most of people' (should be 'Most people'). The sentence structures are relatively simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence variety. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of errors in basic grammar and the limited range of structures prevent a higher score.
