Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited. The explanation regarding social media as a source of income is relevant but lacks depth, and the point about 'capturing memories' is somewhat contradictory to the prompt's premise of not looking at the place. The conclusion is incomplete, which prevents a full development of the argument. To improve, you should ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and fully explained supporting examples, and always complete your essay with a summary of your main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'However', they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that feels mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'due to this they got views', where the antecedent is not explicitly defined. The paragraphing is present but the final paragraph is cut off abruptly, which disrupts the overall flow and logical structure of the argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring a complete conclusion would significantly enhance coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'things', and 'places'. There are also several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'earning source' instead of 'source of income', 'living stander' instead of 'standard of living', and 'disappear of history' instead of 'loss of history'. These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly difficult to follow. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'cultural heritage', 'monetisation', or 'superficial engagement', and pay closer attention to word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('number of individuals travel'), article usage ('the' missing before 'well-known places'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'as result , They will change their life style and living stander'. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty, which impacts the clarity of your message. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for punctuation errors, especially regarding the placement of commas and capital letters.
