Student answer (Band 5.0)

taking photos graphs of famous places rather than exploring the place are trending now a days many people may dislike this action but i completely agree that photo graphs have importance not only because of collecting memories and earning source but also beneficial for learning history for the students.

Firstly, taking photo graphs of famous place give you good memories. As we can see the pictures stored in our data later in our old ages. for instance in canada mostly people hire professional photographers when they are going to visit beauty of the northern side of ontario. in 2018 an act 38B was passed by tour companies they must hire photographer as part of their faculty. Thus, taking photo graphs is the positive aspect oh the tour.

secondly, its is very good source of earning. As many artist can sell their picture in their art galleries. for example, in 2017 china had a festival in which they announced a gold medal for the best photos of wild animals captured by the photographers the best part was captured the movement of the animal shown in pictures. hence this is unfair to say photographs are not useful part of tour.

Finally, photos can help us to understand historical view of the famous places. As you can relate it with your theoretical knowledge.

To sum up i believe that , taking photos cannot only beneficial in terms of getting good memories and earning but it also give the visual image for understand history of that place.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development of ideas is limited. While you identify reasons for the trend (memories, earning, education), the arguments are somewhat disconnected from the core issue of people 'not looking at the place' while taking photos. The examples provided, such as the 'act 38B' in Canada or the 2017 China festival, appear to be invented or lack clear relevance to the prompt's focus on the behavior of tourists. To improve, ensure your arguments directly address the psychological or social reasons for this specific behavior rather than just listing general benefits of photography.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. Transitions like 'Firstly' and 'secondly' are used, but the internal flow within paragraphs is often disjointed. For example, the jump from personal memories to a specific, unverified law in Canada creates a lack of coherence. Additionally, the punctuation is inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and commas, which disrupts the reading flow. Using a wider range of cohesive devices beyond simple sequencing words would help connect your ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. You frequently use the phrase 'taking photo graphs' and 'famous places' without much variation. There are also errors in word formation and collocation, such as 'earning source' instead of 'source of income' and 'visual image for understand' instead of 'visual aid for understanding'. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a more precise and varied range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and better control over word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('taking photo graphs... give you'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain run-on structures. Punctuation is also a significant issue, with erratic capitalization (e.g., 'canada', 'secondly') and missing spaces after punctuation marks. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for capitalization and spacing would significantly improve your score.
