Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this fast forwarding era, many people visit historical places and click picture of them instead of enjoying the place. This essay will explain the reason behind this and explain their negative impact of this trend.
First of all, looking forward to reason, people are keen to express their happiness by showing picture of their visit to friends and family, which make them stand to the rich and adventurist society. Moreover, they had already seen those places online or social media so view has been stored in their mind, such things keep them away to entertain their self by watching place but take their own picture. For example, I had visited Burj Khalifa on social media so when time come to visit rather then looking at the place I had click photograph to send my family to feel proud that I am standing in front of world tallest building.
On dark side of this trend, Firstly, those places loose their value and identity. Secondly, gifts from their ancestors had been vanished from modern generations. For instance, I had visited red fort in 2024 year and click my own memory. however, when I show that to my parents I have been asked about history of that fort and I was blank about it, afterwards my father told the whole story and I enjoyed.
In conclusion, visiting well-known places and creating their own memory has reason of stay away from rich society and social media exposure. While this situation keeping them away from their history and reducing identity of those places.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention social media and the desire to appear 'adventurist' as reasons, the explanation remains superficial. The negative impact is touched upon, but the argument regarding the loss of historical identity is not fully explored or supported with strong reasoning. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed analysis rather than relying on brief personal anecdotes. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the response is restricted by the brevity of the arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'looking forward to reason'. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'such things') is precise would enhance the logical flow and cohesion of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You use some relevant terms like 'historical places' and 'social media exposure', but there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'fast forwarding era' instead of 'fast-paced era' and 'adventurist society' instead of 'adventurous'. Some expressions are repetitive or imprecise, such as 'click picture' and 'gifts from their ancestors had been vanished'. To improve, focus on learning collocations and more sophisticated vocabulary that fits the context of the topic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'such things keep them away to entertain their self'), incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'when time come to visit'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent tense usage throughout your writing.
