Student answer (Band 6.5)
Travelling and capturing the moments has become a great trend in todays world. Many of the individuals visit famous places to click the pictures of themselves in lieu of enjoying the surroundings and the natural beauty in real. I think that this is because of the craze among the people to post their pictures and show off their lives on social media. However, the effects to this craze has been discussed with the conclusion to the issue.
One compelling reason the people prioritize this trend is for showing their pictures to their friends, collegues, and family members. Moreover, they try to show off other by uploading their pictures of their visit on different social media platforms such as instagram, facebook, and whatsapp. Apart form that, many individuals try to collect the memories spend with their loved ones. For instance, my friend has created a whole diary containing the pictures of her solo trip to different countries for the memories.
Furthermore, this trend also have a negative effect on many people's life. As all the families are not financially stable to visit the well-know attractions which are costly, just by looking other people's picture on social media may develope some higher expectations. Additionally , individuals not enjoying the present view and simply focusing on clicking pictures ,will loose the view of the nature in real when they are present at the particular place. Aslo, there are possibilities of injuries, as the person gets busy on clicking pictures they forget the things around themselves. For instace, a person when visited, Mt.Abu - India's highest peak, he was so busy in taking pictures of himself at the mountain that his leg slept and he was fallen from the hights of the valley, reported by The times of India Newspaer.
To conclude, I belive that, this is a totally negative trend as it might cause the risk among the people of injury to their health and the youngsters may get false hope to visit the places which might be not in the budget of their parents. Hence, I believe that the people should enjoy the present moment and look at the natures beauty rather than clicking pictures.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear throughout, and the ideas are supported with examples, such as the mention of social media platforms and the anecdote about the incident at Mt. Abu. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding financial instability and social media expectations is a bit underdeveloped and could have been explained with more nuance. Overall, the response covers all requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Apart from that', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical, and some referencing is a bit repetitive. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the reasons from the negative impacts. While the progression of ideas is generally clear, the transition between the social media aspect and the safety aspect could be smoother to enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'compelling reason' and 'financial stability'. However, there are several spelling errors ('collegues', 'develope', 'Aslo', 'instace', 'belive') and some awkward collocations ('in lieu of enjoying', 'loose the view of the nature'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precision and attention to spelling to reach a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('this trend also have', 'all the families are not financially stable') and punctuation errors, particularly with comma placement. Additionally, there are some awkward phrasing choices, such as 'his leg slept and he was fallen'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher level of accuracy. A greater focus on proofreading for basic grammatical slips would be beneficial.
