Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's fast moving online world, it is preferred to showcase their entire life on social media. Since a substantial number of people visit celebrated places just to capture themselves, without even anticipating the environment of the places. In my perspective, I assert that this trend will bring a negative impact on the youth.
To begin with, clicking pictures has commonly witnessed by a diverse population along with that there is room for multiple accidents. It is observed that many people are fascinated to travel and photograph themselves, later post them on a social media platforms just to gain views and popularity. Although clicking pictures create memorable moments, but making it as a habit and constantly capturing each and every phase of life without looking for the safe surroundings which can lead to a life threatening situation. For instance, study suggest that in recent years there are growing number of deaths from posing on restricted areas such as cliffs and water bodies. Even if its is prohibited people tend to violet rules and create such chaos situations for themselves.
Another compelling reason is that people over spends for expensive destinations just to capture themselves in devices. Many teenagers and even adults spend quite a lot of money in order to portray their fake lavish life to the viewers but in reality they take good amount of loans to fulfil their requirements. Moreover, the viewers are influenced by these act and eventually follow the lead of such influencers. For example, My friend who is a Youtuber, on a beginner level. Always tries to find new places to travel and post his entire journey, regardless of any weather. Even if the weather is torrential he sticks to his plans without realizing its consequences. Just to avail subscribers and viewers.
In conclusion, I think that despite knowing the fact that photography in adventurous places need caution, but instead of that people take it for granted and cost their lives. I believe that being an influencer comes with a greater responsibility as it conveys ethical and moral messages to the viewers unless done in moderation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the point about safety risks is well-supported with the example of deaths in restricted areas, the second point regarding financial strain and 'fake' lifestyles is less clearly linked to the core prompt of 'visiting places to take photos'. The argument could be strengthened by more directly connecting the act of photography to the underlying psychological motivations. Overall, the response covers all requirements but lacks the depth of analysis expected at higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Another compelling reason', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or awkward, such as the sentence fragment starting with 'Since a substantial number...' in the introduction. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition between the general trend and the specific example of the friend is a bit abrupt. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the distinct arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common items like 'torrential', 'fascinated', and 'compelling'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'anticipating the environment' (instead of 'appreciating'), 'violet rules' (should be 'violate'), and 'create such chaos situations'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do highlight a lack of precision in vocabulary usage that prevents the response from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'clicking pictures has commonly witnessed' (passive voice error), 'study suggest' (subject-verb agreement), and 'Even if its is prohibited' (spelling and grammar). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences being fragmented or incorrectly joined. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors indicates that the writer does not yet have consistent control over complex grammatical structures.
