Student answer (Band 5.5)

I have been observe this trend from recent years. Nowadays, people will visit famous places to take so many photographs but not included destination or well known place but click photographs and making videos of themselves. I disagree the given sentence to a large extent. This topic will illustrate with relevant examples in upcoming paragraphs.

The foremost argument to justify my stand is that person will obsessed with online platform. In which they want to show off by post and reels on social media with strangers. For instance, if couple went for holiday but they do not want to spend time with each other rather than they just made videos and photos for their platform and post about every thing they have done. Nowadays, people does not want to keep their life private and peaceful. They just want chaos with all this stuff. Besides this, it is also true that photography of themselves is good options to keep memories.

Furthermore, the other reason to prove my point is that, females are very desperate to open herself in front of camera rather than her husband. Moreover, this type of work is very ridiculous to discuss. Because of this they did not remember to visit well known place. Instead of creating memories with each other they just wanted to prove social media about their trip.

On the country side, some people counter claim the mentioned support. There are few people who thinks another level. For example, if a lady is architecture, so she would love to create beautiful photos and reels about scenario.

To conclude the discussion, it can be said that despite the fact of people recently visit well known places to take photographs of themselves, without looking at the place. My reasons are mentioned properly with examples. And that are logically accepted.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the trend and expressing an opinion. However, the development is inconsistent. The argument regarding social media obsession is relevant, but the paragraph focusing on 'females' is poorly developed, relies on generalizations, and lacks a clear connection to the prompt's core theme of 'not looking at the place.' The position is stated but lacks depth, and the conclusion is repetitive rather than summarizing the main points effectively. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a clear, well-supported argument that directly answers the 'why' and 'positive/negative' aspects of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. While some cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore' and 'To conclude,' they are often followed by sentences that do not logically follow the previous point. Referencing is sometimes confusing, particularly in the third paragraph where the connection between the argument and the topic is weak. The conclusion is also quite abrupt and does not effectively synthesize the preceding arguments. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of the writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'person will obsessed' instead of 'people are obsessed' and 'open herself in front of camera.' The phrase 'on the country side' is used incorrectly to mean 'on the other hand.' While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of precision and the reliance on basic vocabulary prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Expanding your range to include more topic-specific vocabulary related to tourism, social media, and human behavior would be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people does not want'), tense inconsistencies ('I have been observe'), and awkward sentence structures. The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors that can cause the reader some difficulty. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and practicing the correct use of verb tenses. Proofreading for these common errors before finishing the task is highly recommended.
