Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention social media and memory-making as reasons, the explanation remains superficial. The discussion on whether it is a positive or negative trend is present but lacks depth and clear structure. To improve, you should provide more specific examples or logical reasoning to support your arguments, ensuring that the distinction between the positive and negative aspects is clearly articulated and balanced throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To being with Positive trend' and 'On the another side'. There are also issues with referencing and logical flow; for instance, the transition between ideas within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt. The conclusion is quite brief and does not effectively summarize the main points discussed. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'taking photos become trend of themselves', 'vast the amazing beauty', and 'reminds that merinos'. Spelling errors are also frequent, such as 'phots' instead of 'photos' and 'shrouding' instead of 'surrounding'. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are contextually appropriate and spelled correctly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('its have both impact'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing ('without looking at the place' vs 'without looking at the surroundings'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas and incorrect capitalization. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the text from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tenses and pluralization.
