Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has been suggested that people ignore the infrastructure or elevations of the famous buildings where they visit, as they are busy in taking their selfies. However, I firmly believe that it is the social medias' trend which is followed by majority of individuals these days, and this is a negative development.
The primary reason of this trend is the social media platforms, such as :Facebook and Instagram, where people , especially the young generation, post their pictures. What individuals fail to realize is the significant importance of that particular building or place, which they ignored because they are busy in capturing their own pictures and posting them on TIktok, However, if local authorities introduce stringent laws for limited use or no use of camera, tourists would not only going to enjoy the beauty of that place, but also learn about the heritage and about the culture. Thus, it is clear that it is the social media, which is why people prefer to post their pictures to get more views and likes on their pictures and forget the significant importance of the renowned places.
Visiting a place without knowing the history of the buildings and the native culture is not a positive approach. This trend will also not good for upcoming generations. From my standpoint, government or local authorities should come forward to encourage the visitors to have deep knowledge about the place.
In conclusion, learn about the heritage or cultural importance of the famous places is crucial for us, and for the future generation, which is why I maintain that individual should learn about the places and observe the architectural details of important buildings during their next trip to a famous location.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the explanation of social media's role is restated several times without adding new depth. The suggestion regarding government intervention is a relevant idea, but it is not fully explored or supported with concrete examples. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on the 'why' and 'how' of your arguments with more specific detail rather than circling back to the same points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'However', 'Thus', and 'In conclusion' to link your thoughts. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the abrupt transition in the second paragraph ('...posting them on TIktok, However, if...'). Additionally, some sentences are run-on or lack smooth internal flow, which occasionally makes the relationship between ideas feel disjointed. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring better sentence-to-sentence flow would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'infrastructure', 'stringent laws', and 'architectural details'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'social medias' trend' (should be 'social media trend') and 'this trend will also not good' (missing verb). The range is somewhat limited, and you rely on basic phrasing in several places. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid repetitive structures when discussing the impact of social media.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the fluency of the text. Examples include 'people ignore the infrastructure... where they visit' (should be 'which they visit'), 'tourists would not only going to enjoy' (incorrect verb form), and 'learn about the heritage... is crucial' (should be 'learning'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage around clauses. To achieve a higher score, focus on correcting these recurring errors in verb tense and subject-verb agreement, and ensure that complex structures are formed accurately.
