Student answer (Band 6.0)
With the rapid growth of social media networks like facebook and instagram, It has been observed that lot of individuals who are visiting famous historical places and monuments, are only do so to get the photographs of themselves and not to enjoy the view or get the knowledge of history associated with that place. This Essay will discuss the reasons behind it and also discuss it's positive and negative impacts.
To begin with, In today's modern world social media platforms are experiencing exponential growth. Each individual wants to maintain their online presence, and to do so they are often post everything on the social media from their day to day activities to their travel photos and relationship status. Everyone is concered with maintaing positive social media presence to show off to others. For this some people often visits lot of places including mountains, beaches, historical sites and monuments. However, It is observed that lot of youngsters and teenagers only do this to click their photos and selfies and share it on social media that they are enjoying their life. These individuals not enjoying the place fully or not gaining the knowledge of history associated with historical places. In my opinion, the first reason for this is that teenagers and youngsters are very concerned with their social media image rather then their real life. They only do such kind of activities to get more likes on social media and get famous. For instance, travel bloging is becoming more popular these days. Where people often get paid by travel companies to promote their services on social media. But while doing bloging people often stick to recording devices and always on the phone, and not enjoying the real beauty of the place they have visited.
In my opinion, this is very negative treand. As people do travelling and hikeing not for adventure or thrill, they just do to show-off it on social media. Lot of people went to hiking and as soon as they got good pictures they get back to home not spending enough time there and enjoy the real beauty of the nature. The main purpose of hiking is to spend some good time with mother nature and burn some calories while do hiking. Which is benefitial for the health.
To sum up, although lot of people are visiting the famous places but they are only do so for posting it on the social media. This can negatively impact the purpose of visit these places.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the trend and providing a clear opinion on its negative nature. The ideas are relevant, such as the influence of social media and the desire for online validation. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the second and third paragraphs, where the focus on 'showing off' is restated multiple times without significant expansion. To reach a higher band, you should provide more varied examples or deeper analysis of the psychological or societal drivers behind this behavior, rather than focusing solely on the act of taking photos.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'To begin with' and 'To sum up', to guide the reader. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. For example, the transition between the reasons and the opinion could be smoother. Additionally, some sentences are slightly disjointed due to punctuation errors, which occasionally disrupts the flow of information. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring better sentence-to-sentence connectivity would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'exponential growth', 'online presence', and 'historical sites'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'do travelling', 'do hiking', and 'not enjoying the place fully'. Furthermore, there are minor spelling errors like 'concered' and 'treand'. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that your vocabulary is used in a natural, idiomatic way. Expanding your range to include more sophisticated synonyms for common words would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they are frequently marred by grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('lot of individuals... are only do so') and incorrect verb forms ('they are often post', 'they are only do so'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary commas and capitalization errors (e.g., 'facebook', 'instagram'). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable, although they do not generally impede the reader's understanding of your main points. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your score.
