Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for the trend and offering an opinion on whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited. The explanation regarding why people take photos without looking at the place is somewhat superficial, and the discussion on whether it is a positive or negative trend lacks depth. The argument regarding 'hackers' and 'controversy' is slightly tangential and not clearly linked to the core issue of people failing to appreciate the location. To improve, you should provide more detailed reasoning and clearer examples that directly support your position.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of sophisticated cohesive devices. While you use transition markers like 'At the first' and 'on the another hand', these are often used incorrectly or sound unnatural. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that transitions smoothly into the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic words like 'good', 'bad', 'click', and 'picture' throughout the essay. There are also several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'couses' instead of 'causes' and 'fullfill their basic need s'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, you should work on expanding your vocabulary to include more academic and topic-specific terms, and pay closer attention to correct spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'she live', 'city or local people faces'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structures. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with many run-on sentences and misused commas. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb tenses.
