Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary society, many people contends to travel to famous tourist locations just to click esthetic photographs, without researching the place or planning an itinerary. This trend is happening because nowdays people love to blindly follow the social media trends. I believe, it is a negative trend. Let us discuss the given statement in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, let us shed some light on why people love to take their photographs in the famous tourists spots. To clarify, a section of society loves to follow and copy the trends set by the social media influencers. As they think by following these trends like taking pictuires in the famous spot would give them a standing in their social circle. To cite an example, famous Candian youtuber such as Christian LeBlanc or Nadine Sykro are travel vlogers, their content is enormously based on the famous trouist places. They post really esthetically pleasing pictures of famous places around the world. People who has passion for travelling or loves to try new places, follows their vlogs blindly and visit to the same places without researching, as they thinks the travel vlogers would not give wrong information. They forgets the fact that these people gets paid to promote the particular location or the country. As a result, to have a standing in the social circle people blindly visits the tourist spots just to take pictures an post them on their social media such as instagram, facebook, snapchat, etc.
On the contrary, travelling to famous places without researching just to take pictures is a negative trend. To explain, people can face difficult situations like finacial restraint, as they would not have any idea about the placethey would not have any idea about their surroundings.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. However, the development is uneven. While the first body paragraph provides a clear reason regarding social media influence and influencers, the second paragraph is significantly underdeveloped. It introduces the negative aspect but fails to provide a full, well-supported argument, ending abruptly. To reach a higher band, you need to ensure that both the 'reasons' and the 'opinion' sections are balanced in length and depth, providing more detailed explanations and perhaps a personal example or broader societal consequence for the negative impact.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'To clarify', and 'On the contrary' to signal the progression of ideas. Paragraphing is present, though the final paragraph is incomplete, which disrupts the overall flow. Referencing is sometimes repetitive, and the transition between the influence of vloggers and the resulting social pressure could be smoother. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting evidence that leads to a logical conclusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary society', 'itinerary', and 'financial restraint'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'contends' instead of 'contend', 'esthetic' instead of 'aesthetic', 'pictuires', and 'trouist'. These errors are noticeable but do not generally impede communication. To move to a higher band, focus on using less common lexical items with greater precision and ensure accurate spelling of key topic-related vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many people contends', 'people who has passion', 'they forgets', 'people gets paid'). Additionally, there are punctuation issues and run-on sentences, such as 'I believe, it is a negative trend.' While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors limits the score. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and proofread your work to correct basic grammatical slips.
