Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is considered that now a day many individuals go famous places to capture the picture of their self rather than see the place. In this essay I partially agree with this notion which I will discuss in upcoming paragraph.
To commence with, one major reason for this behavior is social media platforms. For instance, today individuals visit many historical places, and any other places. People click their photos and record videos to upload their photos on platforms such as, Facebook, Instagram, or Tinder et, to show the people in which they spend most the time on their mobile phone and camera rather than explore the place and learn other cultures.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, reaching only 115 words. This failure to meet the minimum length requirement severely limits the development of ideas. While the essay attempts to address the reasons for the trend, it fails to provide a balanced discussion or a clear conclusion regarding whether the trend is positive or negative. The introduction mentions a 'partial agreement', but the body paragraphs are incomplete and do not address the second part of the prompt in any meaningful way. Consequently, the response is underdeveloped and fails to fulfill the task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'To commence with' and 'On the other hand', which provide some structure. However, the abrupt ending after 'On the other hand,' indicates a lack of logical progression and an incomplete structure. Paragraphing is attempted, but the second paragraph is left unfinished, which disrupts the flow of ideas. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall arrangement is hampered by the severe lack of content, making it difficult to assess the ability to organize a full argument effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. Phrases like 'go famous places' (should be 'visit famous places') and 'capture the picture of their self' (should be 'take photos of themselves') show limited control over collocations and idiomatic usage. The vocabulary is repetitive, and there is little attempt to use less common or sophisticated lexical items. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of variety and occasional inaccuracies in word choice restrict the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'now a day' (should be 'nowadays'), 'any other places' (which is vague), and 'show the people in which they spend most the time' (which is syntactically awkward). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure is often simplistic or slightly unnatural. Given the limited length, it is difficult to judge a wide range of structures, but the errors present do not entirely impede communication.
