In today's modern world of technology, there is huge dependency on new gadgets like cell phones and its usage. There has been constant need to showcase part of one's life on social media as its current way to socialize which also can provide monetary gains.
People are obsessed with uploading photos of themselves, what they eat, be an influencer. Whichever place you visit, may it be a music concert, wedding, religious place or any tourist place, first thing that people take pictures of themselves. Most of the times they miss the to acknowledge beauty of the place or even unknown of the surrounding. For instance, when you out to camp, people star gaze and make memories by talking or being with their partners. Rather, they take pictures, upload it to social media as check-in. Due to this, they lose to create magical memories. Also, people miss to appreciate nature or people they are with. This can cause additional distance between people and more reliability on world of internet.
There are some positive aspects to it as well. Some of these pictures, can stay with you for ever as can be uploaded to drive or cloud which avoids storage issues. Some pictures can be used to recreate memories and also to compare after few years when they have extended family. It can also help to show friends some of the places you visited and how they look when you recommend them to visit.
Taking pictures has positive and negative traits. However, anything in excess created an obsession. In this case, obsession would how you look, what filters to add, other peoples comments matter more. Due to this, they loose essence of the location where they visit. Rather then making photos look perfect, it would be best to create memories and picture of that which can be cherished in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. You have a clear position that the trend is largely negative due to the loss of genuine experience, though you acknowledge some benefits. The ideas are relevant, such as the desire for social media validation and the impact on personal connection. However, some points, particularly the positive aspects, could be more deeply developed with specific examples. For instance, the mention of 'monetary gains' is introduced but not fully explored. Overall, the response covers all requirements of the task well.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each focusing on a distinct aspect of the topic. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'For instance', 'Also', and 'However', to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. For example, the shift between the negative impacts and the positive aspects could be smoother. Additionally, there are some minor issues with referencing, such as 'its current way to socialize', where the antecedent is slightly unclear. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, but the use of cohesive devices could be more sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'obsessed', 'influencer', and 'essence'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'huge dependency on new gadgets' instead of 'a heavy reliance on technology', and 'miss the to acknowledge' which is grammatically incorrect. You also use 'unknown of the surrounding' instead of 'unaware of their surroundings'. While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the precision of your writing. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the beauty', 'the world of internet'), verb forms ('people star gaze', 'they lose to create'), and prepositions. For example, 'first thing that people take pictures of themselves' is missing a verb and has awkward structure. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some missing commas that would improve readability. The errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text, though they rarely prevent the reader from understanding your intended meaning.
