Student answer (Band 6.0)
Travelling gives one break from daily life work and stress where one is completely in happy , exploring and exciting mood. Nowadays, because of social media much percentage of population is travelling through it virtually and if possible they would like to visit the place which is trending on everyone's story or reviews.
According to me, this ia a negative trend spread across the crowd. It is like a hype which is like out of blue gaining sudden popularity without any great place features or activities to do in the area. For instance, in my hometown, there was a river which was wide and a great source of water, there a dam was constructed on that large area with a statue of Iron man of India so when i was inaugrated by the Prime Minister. The dam sight gained more attention because the schools are taking the students to make know and learn about the history, geography and infrastructure of the place. From the trips photos on social media, local public and the influencers started coming to the place taking a selfie and photographs near and with the statue and the dam. Due to the increasing hype, more people started to visit the place and there was a risk of water because teenagers use to dare each other to do certain things which eventually leads to some accident and it was unfortunate to see that. This is just happening because of the showoffs to friends, just posting a story , doing trendy hastags which has no logical meaning. They are not even interested in knowing the place, theimportance of it or knowing why Iron man's statue up there?, The is unbothered by the facts.
To conclude, this topic should be brought in the light of the Government or even by the influencers to aware people and also educate them about places and not to follow any trend blindly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear from the outset. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the example of the dam and the statue provides a concrete illustration of the negative consequences, the explanation of why people behave this way is slightly superficial, relying on generalisations about 'showoffs' and 'social media'. To reach a higher band, the analysis of the underlying psychological motivations could be more deeply explored. The response covers all requirements, but the depth of argument is limited.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'According to me' and 'The is unbothered by the facts'. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraph is abrupt. While the logical flow is generally maintained, the lack of sophisticated linking words and occasional issues with referencing (e.g., 'the place' used repeatedly without clear antecedents) limit the coherence of the text. Paragraphing is present but could be more effectively utilised to separate the 'reasons' from the 'impact' more clearly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of unnatural phrasing, such as 'much percentage of population', 'out of blue', and 'brought in the light of the Government'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'infrastructure' and 'influencers', the overall control is inconsistent. Some word choices are imprecise, which occasionally forces the reader to infer the intended meaning. To improve, the student should focus on learning collocations and more formal academic expressions rather than relying on informal or idiomatic phrases that are used incorrectly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('schools are taking', 'teenagers use to dare'), missing articles, and awkward punctuation (e.g., the comma usage before 'exploring'). The sentence 'when i was inaugrated by the Prime Minister' is confusing due to the incorrect pronoun and verb choice. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the response from reaching a higher band. More attention to proofreading and sentence structure variety is needed.
