Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, individuals around the world have different thoughts on how they appreciate every memorable places around the world. Nowadays, most individual used their mobile gadget to capture their self on different places they have been.
Since the new age of technology begin, "selfie and groupie" began. It is taking picture of yourself and/or others on different scenic view around the world. Human todays always take selfie or groupie using their digital camera and mobile phone. Tourist in this new generation never appreciate the beauty and the importance of places they have been. Vacationist never ask or study the value of the area they have been. They did not even know the culture and belief of natives around the tourist spot. They all want is to take photo of themselves and post it on different social media flatform.
In general, the negative effect of such doing are, the tourist will never know the worth of that well-known places they had been. Vacationist also will never understand the true happiness of doing different activities in order to appreciate the natives there. Tourist will also never try their local food and cuisine if they only wanted is to take photo of themeselves standing on that view.
I therefore conclude that taking picture and video of yourself or with your companion was not a bad thing. However, there are various ways that you can do while you are on that area such as climbing, nature walking and maybe camping. Nature will not be forever in our life so lets make fun while it is there.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development is limited. While you identify that technology and social media are drivers, the explanation remains somewhat superficial. The discussion on whether it is a negative trend is clearer, though it relies on repetitive points about missing out on culture and local food. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or deeper analysis of why this behavior is becoming so prevalent in modern society, rather than just stating that tourists do not appreciate the location.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. For example, 'In general, the negative effect of such doing are' is grammatically awkward and acts as a weak transition. There is a lack of variety in linking words, and the progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices like 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' or 'in contrast' to better connect your sentences and arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on repetitive terms such as 'tourist,' 'vacationist,' and 'places.' There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'social media flatform' (platform) and 'such doing' (such behavior). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to tourism, digital culture, and social behavior, and ensure you are using words in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('most individual used,' 'negative effect... are'), incorrect verb tenses ('Since the new age of technology begin'), and awkward phrasing ('All they want is to take photo'). You rely mostly on simple sentence structures. To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate better control over complex sentence structures and improve your accuracy with basic grammar, particularly pluralization and verb tense consistency.
