Student answer (Band 6.0)
In contemporary society, Trend of photography has become increasingly significant. Many individuals prefer to travel to renowned locations to take pictures of themselves regardless of thinking about a place . I firmly believe that this is due to social media marketing influence on people. Although it is a positive trend for young generation however it has certain negative impacts.
The primary factor equipping my stance is increasing influence of social media platforms which shows marketing of famous places which gradually grow the interests of individuals. This is particularly because many young generation see influencers on these paths visiting highly popular countries with stunning views and amazing activities. Therefore , numerous members of society fall for such locations and add such well known locations to their check lists .For instance, a children from a low income family wanted to visit Popular tourist destinations like Paris and Switzerland by getting influenced by reels on instagram , however they could not visit due to their financial circumstances. As a result , they keep in mind to visit once there in forthcoming. Realistically these locations are so expensive and yet have many problems in their areas but still individuals wanted to travel to these locations without fully knowing them which in turn would impact their own perceptions about these places.
As a result, this have a negative impact upon individuals as they start spending their essentials money on these places just to have good photographs of themselves. However when they finally visit such locations reality hit them harder . Consequently it is very crucial to look out places which is genuinely worth visiting and spending time. To illustrate places like historical monuments, traditional temples and ancient buildings where people can gather knowledge and have positive experience.
To conclude, considering the points described above, I strongly believe that trend of taking photographs at renowned places have a negative on upcoming generations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. You clearly state your position that the trend is largely negative due to financial and social pressures. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The example regarding children from low-income families is a bit disjointed and does not fully support the argument about why people ignore the actual location. While the main ideas are relevant, they could be extended with more logical depth to reach a higher band. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and repeats the prompt's premise rather than synthesising the main points effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'consequently', 'to illustrate', and 'to conclude' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition between the influence of social media and the financial impact on families. Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the subject 'they' shifts between influencers, children, and society. Improving the flow between sentences would help create a more natural progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary society', 'renowned locations', and 'forthcoming'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'equipping my stance' (instead of 'supporting my position'), 'marketing of famous places' (instead of 'promotion'), and 'essentials money' (instead of 'essential funds' or 'savings'). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the precision of your argument. To improve, focus on using collocations more accurately and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include missing articles ('a children', 'the trend'), subject-verb agreement ('this have a negative impact', 'individuals wanted to travel'), and awkward phrasing ('look out places which is genuinely worth visiting'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic agreement and article usage to improve your accuracy.
