Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention social media influence and celebrity culture as reasons, the explanation remains superficial. The discussion on the negative impacts, such as the loss of relationships and physical danger, is relevant but lacks depth and specific supporting evidence. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete examples to fully develop your arguments, as the current response feels slightly repetitive and brief in its analysis.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Apart from this', and 'In addition' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the logical progression within paragraphs is occasionally hindered by grammatical errors. For example, the transition between the reasons for the trend and the negative impacts could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensure that referencing (e.g., 'they', 'this') is always clear and precise.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'make money' and 'good picture'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'acter' (spelling) and 'use these technique' (pluralization). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'digital validation', 'superficial engagement', or 'perils of tourism'. Expanding your range of synonyms and focusing on correct word forms will significantly enhance your lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors. Frequent issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'trend increasing'), missing articles (e.g., 'at well-known place'), and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'people takes risk'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally make the reader work harder to understand your meaning. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that articles are used correctly. Proofreading for common slips in tense and pluralization will also help improve your accuracy.
