Student answer (Band 6.0)
Currently , A large number of people are visiting renowned places only to capture their own pictures , instead of enjoying the beauty of that place. This is happening due to the increased trend of social media postings. I believe that it is a negative trend because people don't actually enjoy the moment.
This is happening because of the increased trend of social media postings . People usually post their pictures at special occasions or moments just to get some likes and comments. This trend is increasing day by day because people have started to find their pleasure in those idle things. Moreover , the use of social media apps including facebook, instagram and whatsapp is increasing and people are getting more engaged in posts, likes , comments are reels instead of finding pleasure in the beauty of those places .
I believe that this is a negative trend . In the past when there was no social media , people use to visit different places like mountains , lakes , beaches and use to spend quality time there and make memories instead of making pictures . And I think this should be the actual reason to visit those places . But in the current era , people are getting addicted to the social media that they don't actually enjoy the nature .
In conclusion , people are visiting famous spots just to take photos instead of watching the place because they are more interested in posting the pictures on social media and I believe that this is a negative trend .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why this is happening and whether it is a positive or negative trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention social media as the primary driver, the explanation remains repetitive, focusing heavily on 'likes and comments' without exploring deeper psychological or societal factors. The position is clear throughout, but the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended with more specific examples or nuanced analysis to reach a higher band. The conclusion is a bit brief and merely restates the introduction rather than synthesizing the main points effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some basic cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'In the past', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and the use of referencing is sometimes repetitive. For instance, the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother to better connect the 'why' to the 'positive/negative' evaluation. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your reasoning.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'renowned places', 'addicted', and 'current era'. However, the range is somewhat limited and repetitive; for example, the word 'people' is used frequently, and phrases like 'idle things' are not entirely natural in this context. There is a lack of more sophisticated or academic vocabulary that would demonstrate a higher level of lexical control. To improve, focus on using more precise synonyms and collocations related to the topic of tourism and digital behavior.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent errors in punctuation and grammar. For example, there are unnecessary spaces before commas (e.g., 'Currently ,'), and some verb tense inconsistencies, such as 'people use to visit' instead of 'people used to visit'. Additionally, some sentences are slightly fragmented or lack proper article usage. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and punctuation will help improve your accuracy.
