Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, a significant number of people visit well-known tourists attractions to click photographs of themselves , without knowing much about the place, because of social-media influence which forces them to visit the place and click pictures. Although it requires money and time, I believe it improves an overall experience of the people in terms of knowledge and exposure.
To begin with, nowadays many people use social-media apps such as Facebook and Instagram, on which they see random people's posts. The posts such as tourism has a strong impact on the other people, because when other people see, they get influenced and tend to visit the same place for their experience. However, sometime they don not bother themselves to know something about the place. Moreover, they skip the most important part that is to know about the place's weather, temperature, language and emergency contacts. Therefore, people just decide to visit any random place and sometimes they suffer a lot.
Although it has some negative points, but its positive points outweigh negative ones. Visiting any random place is not only help people to click pictures, it improves a person's public interaction fear. This is because some people like to stay in their comfort zone and tend to fear while interacting with public. However, those who cross their barriers and visit any random place will stay motivated and confident every time. Moreover, visiting other unknown places improves people's knowledge about different cultures, languages, cuisines and attires. For example, if an individual visits a different country, they may learn some other language and taste different cuisines.
To conclude, choosing a random place to visit can cost a lot, but it improves an overall knowledge of a person. Additionally, it makes a person confident while interacting with a random group of people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While you identify social media as a driver, the explanation of why people ignore the location itself is a bit superficial. Furthermore, your argument that this trend is positive is slightly contradictory to the prompt's premise, as you focus on the benefits of travel in general rather than specifically addressing the act of visiting places solely for photography. To improve, ensure your supporting points directly relate to the specific behavior mentioned in the question.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'To conclude' to link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where 'the posts such as tourism' is awkward phrasing. The flow between the negative aspects of the trend and your counter-argument about the benefits of travel could be smoother to better guide the reader through your line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'social-media influence,' 'comfort zone,' and 'cuisines.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'click photographs' (usually 'take photographs') and 'improves an overall experience' (should be 'enhances'). You also repeat certain words like 'random' and 'place' frequently, which limits the sophistication of your writing. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and collocations related to tourism and digital behavior.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'is not only help people' (should be 'does not only help') and 'they do not bother themselves to know' (should be 'they do not bother to learn'). Punctuation is generally functional, though there are some unnecessary commas, such as before 'without knowing.' While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct verb forms will help improve your accuracy.
