Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the contemporary world, presently an increasing number of individuals were travelling famous spot to click sceneric photos of their own, without performing any investigations before visiting the well known tourist place. Digitalisation had paved a greater way with modern industrialization in incrersing technology which is an positive effect on current generations.

Paradoxically, people were more focusing on working along with setting the trends to cope up with present Gen Z generational aesthetics for showing that picture on their social media accounts. For example, the so-called influenzers were the main individuals attracting children under maturity age to visit places without even knowing that place's history andgeography.

I firmly believe that it is an advantage for today's kids to explore their historical heritage views by doing site seeing of thier heriditary places formed by their ancestors. Human beings were more focusing on socializing by collaborating with the famous celebrities, in terms of advertizing, socializing, optimizing the work, etc.

Nowadays human kind is exploring what they were personally liking instead of their family pressure of not visiting sites to explore the world. Residing with current generation pupil is like exploring the world to a greater extend.

To conclude, it is a best step to visit unknown places

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the prompt asks for reasons and a clear opinion on whether the trend is positive or negative, the arguments provided are underdeveloped and often unclear. For instance, the transition from discussing social media influencers to the benefits of exploring heritage is disjointed and lacks logical support. The conclusion is incomplete, failing to provide a final summary or a clear stance on the trend. Because the response is under-length and the ideas are not fully extended or supported, it does not meet the requirements for a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear logical progression. Paragraphs are poorly structured, and the ideas within them do not flow naturally. There is a lack of effective cohesive devices to link sentences and paragraphs; for example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt. Referencing is often confusing, such as the use of 'human kind' and 'current generation pupil' which does not clearly relate back to the main topic. The overall arrangement is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the writer's line of reasoning.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and contains several inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. Phrases like 'click sceneric photos' (scenic), 'performing any investigations' (research), and 'influenzers' (influencers) demonstrate a lack of precision. There are also frequent spelling errors such as 'incrersing', 'geography' (written as 'geography'), and 'heriditary'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly, and the misuse of terms often forces the reader to guess the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There is inconsistent use of verb tenses, such as 'individuals were travelling' and 'Digitalisation had paved', which do not align with the present-tense context of the prompt. Sentence structures are often repetitive or awkward, and there are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and word formation. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas and periods. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are often faulty and lack the necessary control to be considered accurate.
