Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this new era, more percentile of people are interested to visit famous places to take their pictures instead of looking at that place and learning new things about that places. I feel that this is negative trend because people are so much addicted to click pictures and uploading them to social media that they completely forget to understand the importance of the place and learn historic meaning of that place. I want to discuss this negative trend in more details with specific reasons in the following paragraphs.
Nowadays, young generation is big fan of using the social media and uploading their day to day activities to social media by clicking pictures.
Due to which , they visit to the eye catching sites and click pictures there so that they can earn some good likes on their profile, however, they are so lost in the beauty that they completely forget to admire the beauty of the nature. Even they visit many beautiful places, however, their main concern is to click good pictures instead of understanding the nature and their values. To justify, When i visited Taj Mahal , I saw that many young children are clicking pictures there but when i asked them about the history of that place they are completely blank and start looking at each other faces.
In earlier days, It is considered that to obtain internal peace, a person should visit to nature sites such as beach, hills and lakes . But this thought is no longer working as even people visit to these places they are just busy in clicking pictures and videos. The only peace they are loving is that how many people like their pictures .They do not understand that they are missing out many things in finding their happiness on fake world. Also because of this they are unable to explore the beauty of the world.
To conclude, it can be said that nature is worth while looking but the beauty can only be understood if people will try to look for it instead of clicking pictures, however, they should make more live memories rather than making a picture book memory.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive, particularly regarding social media validation. While the example of the Taj Mahal is relevant and supports the argument, the analysis could be more nuanced. The essay tends to over-generalize about the 'young generation' and 'earlier days,' which limits the depth of the discussion. To reach a higher band, you should aim to explore the psychological or societal drivers behind this behavior more thoroughly rather than focusing solely on social media likes.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Due to which' at the start of a sentence or 'To justify' to introduce an example. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the transition between the second and third body paragraphs feels a bit abrupt. Improving the variety of transition signals would enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. There are several instances of unnatural phrasing, such as 'more percentile of people,' 'click pictures,' and 'looking at each other faces.' While the meaning is always clear, the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. You rely heavily on basic terms like 'beautiful' and 'good.' To improve, focus on learning collocations and more academic synonyms for common verbs and adjectives to demonstrate a more flexible control of language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that, while not impeding communication, are noticeable. Examples include 'learning new things about that places' (plurality error), 'young generation is big fan' (missing article), and 'even people visit to these places' (incorrect preposition/conjunction usage). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement around conjunctions. The sentence structures are often repetitive in their construction. Increasing the variety of complex structures and proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve your score.
