Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which severely impacts the development of ideas. While you introduce the topic and state a position, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence. You address the 'why' and 'positive/negative' aspects, but the lack of a conclusion and the truncated body paragraphs mean the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full, balanced argument with sufficient supporting examples and a clear conclusion, all while meeting the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at logical organization, using transition signals like 'To commence with' and 'Despite the fact'. However, the abrupt ending and the fragmented nature of the final paragraph make it impossible to judge the overall coherence and progression of the argument. Paragraphing is present, but the lack of completion prevents a cohesive flow. To improve, focus on completing your thoughts and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by fully developed supporting points.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have a reasonable range of vocabulary, such as 'contemporary', 'monotony', and 'proliferated'. However, there are issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'sanity principles' (likely meaning 'sanctity') and 'realm places'. There are also some repetitive errors, such as 'people people'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are contextually accurate and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'In the contemporary times' (unnecessary article), 'to an certain extent' (incorrect article), and 'made in as a form of' (redundant phrasing). Punctuation is also inconsistent, and the incomplete sentences at the end make it difficult to assess your control over complex structures. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
