Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, a section of society is visiting popular places to take photos of themselves or with families without having look at the place . the main reason behind this is a influence of actors to post pics on social media , this is a negative trend according to me .
to begin with , these days majority of well known personalities are posting there photos and reels on instagram or facebook which is influencing individuals to go at good locations and click some pics and upload it on social media to maintain there statues online and also to show there regular activities of life to attract audience. for instance , the cricketer named 'virat khioli' who posted a pick at tajmall, afterthat all young people followed the same trend and do post on the same place . thus, this trend is going up with the influence of famous personalities .
Is this is a negative trend ? yes definitely , individuals are not enjoying the weather or nature of a place ,there main focus is only to click photos .moreover, this is also becoming the reason of financial burden for some parents for the demand of good quality of phone for clicking pics from there children . also , doing same activity of clicking photographs is wasting there alot of time which should be invest in there studies for there bright future . therefore, due to above mentioned reasons ,it is a negative trend .
To conclude , taking photos and showing there life online on social media is influence from actors which is a negative trend because of wastage of money and time .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention social media influence and financial burdens, the arguments lack depth and specific analysis. The example of 'Virat Kohli' is relevant but could be better integrated to support the argument more effectively. The position is clear throughout, but the overall response would benefit from more detailed explanations and a more sophisticated exploration of the psychological or societal drivers behind this behavior to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'to begin with', 'moreover', 'therefore'). There are issues with referencing, such as the unclear use of 'there' instead of 'their' throughout the text, which disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. The logical progression is generally evident, but the lack of varied linking words makes the writing feel somewhat disjointed at times.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'statues' instead of 'status', 'pick' instead of 'pic', and the persistent confusion between 'there', 'their', and 'they're'. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'social media' and 'financial burden', the range is not sufficient to demonstrate flexibility. To improve, you should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct context and spelled accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'the main reason behind this is a influence of actors' (article error) and 'is this is a negative trend ?' (redundant verb). Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with spacing before commas and periods. Frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage are present throughout the text. To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate better control over complex structures and reduce the frequency of basic grammatical slips.
