Student answer (Band 5.5)
todays generation have keen interest in exploring the world. as its normal that people mainly focuses on clicking pictures without looking actual beauty of that place. in my phenomenon, it is a negative trend and reasons will explain in upcoming paragraphs.
To start with, exploring the new places is mostly liked by young generation because they always want to upload their pictures with asthetic view which can be experienced in some old buildings and areas. however, they usually go over their for just clicking photographs of their own but didnt care about the actual history of that building which proves helpful for increasing their knowledge.
moreover, it put negative impact on them because firstly they just waste their time to going over there if they don't read the information given on specific areas of buildings as it show disrespect towards freedom fighters who died over there and secondly day by day they are trapping themself in showing fake lifestyle whether they have nothing in real life. for example, now everyone like to visit golden temple for taking photographs of them in front of it even muslim too but when i saw a news in which reporter ask about history of that temple then they were blank, they did'nt have basic knowledge about its foundation as we can imagine how much they are mentally weak
in conclusion, although there is nothing wrong in taking photographs of well known places but i is also crucial to have so knowledge about that place because brain always hold visual information as compare to just listening from someone.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the desire for 'aesthetic' photos and the lack of historical knowledge, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The example provided regarding the Golden Temple is specific but slightly confusing in its delivery and tone. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported point rather than circling back to the same concepts. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments need more sophisticated elaboration to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'in my phenomenon' is not a standard phrase for expressing an opinion, and 'as its normal' is grammatically awkward. Transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt, making the flow of ideas feel disjointed. While the overall progression is discernible, the lack of varied and precise linking words hinders the logical flow. To improve, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that referencing (e.g., 'it', 'they') clearly points to the intended antecedent.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You use some relevant terms like 'aesthetic' and 'foundation', but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'mentally weak' to describe a lack of knowledge, or 'in my phenomenon' instead of 'in my opinion'. Some phrasing is repetitive, and the spelling errors (e.g., 'didnt', 'themself') are noticeable. To improve, focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—and try to incorporate more academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater nuance and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'everyone like to visit'), missing articles (e.g., 'in front of it'), and incorrect punctuation. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, such as the run-on sentence in the conclusion. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar limits the score. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex structures.
