To commence with, now a days technology becomes a crucial part of our life. Most of the people only want to take photographs and post into the social media without even know about the place. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 155 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is severely limited. While you identify social media as a cause and express a negative view, the arguments are underdeveloped. The second paragraph attempts to explain the influence of social media but lacks depth and specific examples that directly support the prompt's focus on the act of taking photos without experiencing the location. The response is incomplete, ending abruptly, which prevents a full discussion of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows a basic attempt at organization with an introduction and a body paragraph. However, the progression of ideas is hindered by the incomplete nature of the text. Cohesive devices are used in a mechanical way, such as 'To commence with' and 'Furthermore', but the lack of a conclusion and the abrupt ending make the overall structure disjointed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical flow between sentences is weak, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'famous destination', 'crucial part', and 'trendy'. There are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'without even know about the place' (should be 'knowing') and 'if we cannot focus on their way' (which is unclear). The range is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely, and the frequent errors in basic word forms and collocations indicate a restricted vocabulary range that struggles to convey the intended meaning clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but these are often marred by frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'Majority of the individuals in modern era' (missing articles), 'now a days technology becomes' (incorrect tense/spelling), and 'where the people goes' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic sentence construction limits the range and accuracy significantly.
